Events : Trespassing at the Park?
Posted by CharlyB on 2010/1/25 15:05:07 (41 reads)

Many property owners are not aware of this, but our park is a private park. Guests may only be in our park if accompanied by a resident of Fir Meadows. Recently we have had in increase in youths at our park that do not belong there. If you see anyone in the park that is not a resident of the community you have the right to contact law enforecment, it is trespassing. We all pay for this park and it is all our responsibility that we keep those out who do not appreciate our property and vandalize - we, the property owner are the ones who pay to maintain, insure, and repair any damages - this is our park and it is not open to the public.

This is a reminder to please be aware of what mail you should be receiving at this time of year. In the past January has been a month that we get the most reports of stolen mail. Theives are looking for W-2 forms so that they can obtain more information about your identity. If you or someone you know has been a victim of stolen mail, please report this to the postmaster at the post office.

We have lost an honorable part of our community, Deputy Kent Mundell. This officer has played a very important role in Fir Meadows and our surrounding area over the years. His family has suffered a great loss as well as this entire community. Please take the time to keep his family and all our Law Enforcement in your thoughts and prayers.

Events : 2010 Assessment Statement
Posted by CharlyB on 2009/12/30 22:08:34 (56 reads)

The 2010 Assessment Statements are starting to be mailed out on Dec. 29th - Jan. 2nd. The dues as stated earlier are $185.00 per lot. If you are paying in full the By-Laws state they are due by January 31, however we have made an exception and can be paid in full up to Feb. 28th 2010. If you would like to make payments, an agreement is enclosed. Your first payment is due on Feb. 28th - the amount to be paid is half of what your total dues are owing. The 2nd installement is due April 30th (which again is half of what is owing) and the final payment in full is due on August 31. If you choose to make payments you must return the agreement signed and abide by the terms. In the past a few owners (not all) have to be reminded of the second and final payment. This will not be the case in the future-if payments are missed then the total amount will be due the day after the missed payment - sorry, but reminding about timely payments takes time away from other projects that need to be worked on.

Events : Happy Holidays!
Posted by CharlyB on 2009/12/14 7:30:00 (49 reads)

Santa came and visited the kids on Saturday. The kids sure do love this event, big smiles - it was a bit cold, but we had purchased a new tarp to go over the ramp at the office. This helped protect from the cold weather and can be used for many years to come.

We had winners of the light contest, however a few did not come to claim their prizes so they were awarded to the runners up. Next year we will be making a few changes, such as trying to contact the winner to make sure they can come claim there prize. We will also not be awarding the same homes for two consecutive years. We would like to see more property owners participate and it seems as if we had only have that same handfull that participate in the contest- however we did have a few new ones, so catch those sales after Christmas and stock up on lights for next season!

The winners for this years contest were:
Best Animated-Lot 82
Best Light Display-Lot 107
Best Overall-Lot 210
